120 people are part of OPERATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH FAIR The mayor of Torrevieja, Pedro Hernandez Mateo, along with the councilman of Culture and Festivals, Eduardo Dolon, and the president of the Association of Friends of the May Fair, Francisco Boj Ortigosa, presented this morning in scheduling the May 2010 fair to be held on Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 May.

Mateo Hernandez pointed out to this new edition of the fair in Seville the prominence of the horse shows, also held in the streets of Real de la Feria, will have performances at the bullring laptop installed on the fairgrounds, as well as increase the performances of the Academy of Dance of the city, which have been from the beginning the main protagonists of the show in May.
The May Fair has been held in Torreveija from 23 years ago, assuming one of the great attractions of the City was during the event and generating a lot of activity around tourism and the commercial sector. There are thousands of people who daily visit the fair.

New this year include the Corrida de Toros Monumental to be held on Saturday May 8, with the presence of three bullfighters such as Victor Harbor, César Giménez and Joselito Adame. A spectacular bull run with the prestigious livestock Sancho Davila.

Before his inauguration on Tuesday, May 4, will be held the traditional Pescaíto Night.

On Wednesday, May 5 at 21:00 pm as usual since its first edition, we will proceed to the inauguration and turn on the May Fair by the Mayor, Pedro Hernandez Mateo, and construed hymns by Torrevejense Musical Union, led by Jaime Cantavella Belda, and the Orquesta Salinas de Torrevieja “Maestro Ricardo Lafuente” directed by Manuel Martínez Guirao. After the opening of the Fair will be a large fireworks display.

At 23:00 hours will start the first big show of the May Fair with a performance of The Chicane.

Already on Friday, May 7 at 21:00 pm and proceed to the Great Night of Flamenco Dance and performances by the Dance School of María Dolores Morales, the Municipal Dance Esceual directed by Nuria Girona and gra show the guitarist Antonio Fernández “El Torero” and flamenco.

On Saturday May 8 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, at 12:00 hours, will begin the traditional Rociera Mass, sung by the choir Rociera Alba, the Association of Friends of the May Fair, and then concentrate About 400 horses and carriages at the fairgrounds, which held a parade up to the door of the Church and return back to the Fairgrounds, where you can appreciate the beauty of the horses with their riders and the various carriages up 16:00 pm)

At 23:00 pm on Saturday, will perform in the stage of the Fair La Negra.
On Sunday May 9, the last day of the Fair, at 10:00 am, will be a concentration of horses at the fairgrounds and parade through the downtown streets of Torrevieja. Throughout the day, traffic will proceed to the fairgrounds for all horses and carriages. Then will begin the Great Horse Show in the Plaza de Toros, at a price of 3 euro entry. The outlets are at the Theatre Box Office, Municipal Auditorium and the Kennel Association of the May Fair from 10:00 to 12:00.

Already on the evening of Sunday, May 9, at 21:00 pm, a performance of the School of Dance Maria del Angel.

Later proceed to the closing of the Fair by the Mayor, Pedro Hernandez Mateo, starring Alba Rociera Choir, the Association of Friends of the May Fair.

Hernández Mateo has highlighted the large deployment of security and health that has been programmed for this twenty-second edition of the May Fair, which has been held since 1989 in this location.

Permanently during the five days of celebration, the Real de la Feria have a Emergency Coordination Center (booth Civil Protection), 20 Effective cleaning, two doctors and two ats, a catch fire and ambulance.

Huge effort this year will be as security so that there is any problem or conflict, so to be up to 120 people in the security operation: 30 Civil Defence volunteers, 20 Red Cross volunteers, 50 staff 20 Police and Civil Guard troops.

Finally, as a novelty this year 2010 will install a Red Cross Field Hospital species to respond to any health emergency in and around the Fair during the five-day celebration of this great fair of Seville.
