VI Bennecke Open 2019
October 3, 2019The 6th anniversary of one of the most popular annual tournaments in Torrevieja, with the support of the Tennis Federation of the Valencian Community, takes place.
It seems like only yesterday when Bennecke presented its first tennis tournament, in collaboration with the Torrevieja Tennis Club, to the press in Los Balcones. Since then, its manager, Elena Ivanova has been working on making several important technical and organisational improvements, with the aim of bringing this tournament a little closer, not only to the public in general, but also to professionals from the world of tennis.
It is now in its sixth consecutive year and is a very popular tournament in Torrevieja, with 9 days of intense matches and visitors coming from the whole Vega Baja and the province of Alicante to enjoy it from the stands.
‘Every year, the Bennecke Open works towards encouraging and developing a culture of sport in Torrevieja. We create social integration through tennis by ensuring that everyone can participate’ said Elena Ivanova, executive manager of Bennecke.
Yesterday, the tournament was officially presented in Torrevieja Tennis Club with representation of Tennis Club authorities and the main sponsors. This sporting event, which welcomes the autumn, would not be possible without the official sponsorship of companies such as Hospital Universitario de Torrevieja of the Grupo Rivera Salud, AGAMED, Caja Rural Central and ASERPRO OREMFI who have provided the resources which enable the tournament to take place this year.
Elena Ivanova informs that inscriptions can be made until October 9thvia the official web www.benneckeopen.com, and the tournament itself takes place from the 11thto the 19thof October. The prize giving ceremony will be in the evening of Saturday October 19thonce the finals of the matches have ended. Many participants will collect their trophies as well as the prizes provided by the 21 collaborating companies.
Organisers also presented the official Bennecke Open 2019 t-shirt, which both the organisers and participants will be given, with this year’s logo on the back.
